Activation

“Unite”

During my internship at Doner we had the opportunity to create an activation for Design Core Detroit. We were challenged to create a single putt-putt hole that embodies Detroit culture and inspires the creation of art within Detroit communities. It was showcased at two events: Eastern Market After Dark and Light Up Livernois. It was recently purchased by a Detroit company to be displayed in the city permanently.

Detroit is a melting pot of people from different backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life. Keeping with the theme of culture and Detroit, this putt-putt green would challenge players to gain a new perspective on Detroit by using 3d anamorphic typography to highlight the reality of its many pieces.

The word unite, to us, is a call to action to bring separated forms, ideas, and people together to become whole again. To encourage viewers to get involved and actively participate in the design community within Detroit.
